exhaust doesnt mean I want to race!

So im cruising north on I-680 here in CA today and im just mobbin along when this busted white 5th gen hatch pulls up along side me .... he keeps revving and actin stupid and tryin to get me to race him ... so I keep chillin and yell out the window that its slow ... so he asks me if its an auto or stick ... so I yell stick and then he merges off the freeway.

If this had happened at a stoplingt I probably would have raced him, but I HATE FREEWAY RACING!!!! For those of you who arent familiar, what you do is have two cars next to each other slow down to about 30 mph .. wait for the cars in front to clear, and then go at it.

Anyways ... just wanted to tell you guys about how lame I thought this guy was.

I always get revved at. If i know i can win i go for it. But if i know i'll loose i just ignor it.

I used to get reved at all the time. usually by all the crapaliers and sunfires. Now when I am driving my friends chevy sprint I try to race everyone. The sprint doesn't have second or fifth gear and it has a blown head gasket so it is funny. I like to smoke up the people behind me. okay I am lame.

Jeff, when did you get your car painted? I don't remeber anything about it.

i havent ever really been reved on much. Only time i ever really get reved on is by my friends :D

It's still not done. The airbrushing got started last sunday, and should be finished this sunday. After that it goes back in for more clear coat and it'll be finished.

I'm gunna wait untill she's 100% done (exterior) to post my pics.

I bet it was the stock engine and I coulda won ... but like I said I hate freeway racing ... if we start on an onramp or if its late at night its cool ... but fuck doin it in rush hour traffic!

you should put a sticker on your car that says "i dont race" or 2Slow2Race or something like that.

If i see muffler, i think race. I say dont fix the car up unless you're going to give some competition, but thats just me.

I hear you with the revving but around me there are so many jokers i'm happy cause i get kills all the time heh. I get to beat the same morons all day long my dad loves to beat on them also so there is an upside. I agree you don't race in rushour but thats why theyre the ricers not us. Also theres so one claiming a plus 170 run in the 1/4 with a beaten teg BTW i owned him in a stoplight batlle so i guess that means i run like 6s?

like I said earlier im down for a stoplight ... but freeway racing in rush hour is stupid!

I know i'm just saying that trying to race in rushour traffic is a dumb thing that ricers do nothing wrong with stoplights.

you central valley peeps are out of the loop then ... when there is a lot of traffic the two cars will slow down waiting for traffic in front to clear ... and then once there is enough room GO! ... this is exactly what he was signaling me to do also and im like fuck that.

I had a beat up 5th gen (4-door ;)) roll by me yesterday with a big plume of smoke coming out of his DC Sports muffler, I guess after he heard my exhaust as we pulled around him at a two-turn lane light...He ran that all the way to redline, just to slam on the brakes to turn into Wal-Mart with his buddy :rolleyes: :loser:

yea slow down to 30 on the freeway and everybody gets fucking pissed at you that are driving behind you...what a stupid idea(i know its not your idea) i would flip and start getting road rage if someone slowed down to 30 in front of me, shit i get ticked if they slow down to 60 and theres no traffic in front of them

why not speed up and get in front of the cars. i never heard bout slowing down, fuck that get rear ended like a muthafuker. and i'd rather race on the freeway than at a stoplight. that actuallys means your in the city, and they could be cops around to hear the tires squeaking off the line and the exhaust revving up. i like freeway racing anyway. i seem to have the advantage, compared to stopping and having traction problems off da line, i can just downshift and off we go.

this is just a 2 lane freeway with madd traffic ... I would be spending a lot of time on the shoulder if I was trying to get in front of people ... there was a frontage road ... but I really wasnt in the racing mood anyways cause this guy pissed me off.
