alright here we go.............i've got an 88, 302, hatchback, and well its not very happy. the body is completely rusted underneath (u can touch the rug, and sometimes when traveling in the rain you may get wet). so i wanna swap everything over to a 90 body, which is also a hatch back. if i had four grand id buy the car completely, its got a 427 in it. but i wanted to kno if it would be hard to swap it over. i think im gonna rebuild the engine when i swap everything over, and help it out, cause i believe nitorous was shot thru the engine, many times and its hurtin. so would it be hard to swap it over or not, and if anyone has an 88 hatchback body or whatever that they wanna seel for not too much let me know cause im gettin wet. lol thanks

From an 88 to a 90? I don't think there is anything different about the motors and drivetrain other than the speed density to mass air conversion, but that shouldn't be hard if you're currently on a speed density setup.

So lets get this straight. You plan on buying a 90 chassis with no motor, to put you tired 302 into. The 90 use to have a 427 in it, but is being removed cause you can't afford it? 4 grand could buy the whole car, so how much is just the rolling chassis?

Its not hard at all to swap motors. Actually it's very easy if you take your time. The hardest part is going to be deciding weather you want to stay speed density or go Mass Air.

The 90 should be set up for mass air and all you will need is a MAF meter. But seeing the previous owner was running a 427, the motor was probably carbed, and the wiring for mass air might be gone. So staying speed density would be easier. Just swap you computer and all wiring harnesses along with the motor.

Good luck!
