Does anyone know the procedures for programming the transmitter for a 1997 Chevy Malibu LS vehicle? Thanks so much!

Here is the procedure for a 98 should be the same! Hope it works cuz I am not at work and can't check to make sure.
Important
Leave a window down in the vehicle while reprogramming the remote control door lock receiver system. This procedure will avoid an unintentional lock out if the reprogramming is not performed properly.
Turn the ignition off.
Ground the receiver program terminal. Jump the 2 terminals located in the program ground connector.
Within 2 seconds the door locks will lock. The unlock and the rear compartment lid release will produce a cycle, causing the horn to chirp. This indicates that the module is ready for reprogramming.
Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time until the door locks lock and unlock. The rear compartment lid release releases and the horn sounds indicating that the transmitter has successfully been reprogrammed (approximately 12 seconds).
Repeat the previous step for the remaining transmitters.
Remove the jumper at the program connector.
Verify the proper operation of each transmitter.
The program connector should be taped to the wiring harness near the antenna mast.

This is how I did it..and it worked! Saved $35!
Look in right side wall of trunk..there's a wire taped to another wire that has a plug on it with two prongs. I used my key, yes, my ignition key to jump the plug..I inserted the key between the two prongs and turned so that the key touched both prongs. My car cycled, unlock, lock, trunk release, unlock, lock, trunk release, horn chirp...while keeping the key in place, push (or have someone else do it) the lock and unlock buttons on your remote at the same time for about 12 seconds..you should hear the car lock/unlock. Remove key from plug. Your remote should now be operable. I only had one remote, so if you have more than one, I'd either try repeating the entire process for each remote, or doing each remote one after the other while keeping the key in the plug. I dunno, but if you figure it out, let me know!

PS- my ignition key has a rubber head! Don't electrocute yourself!

Hi everyone!:
I have confirmed this procedure to work in a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu LS, the plug with the 2 prongs is located just above and a little to the right of the right (Passenger) side tail light. The ignition key works great to short out the 2 prongs in the plug. Thanks!Worked perfectly! Figured I'd post a lil more detail, to maybe help someone out!
