Brake light problem and gear shift problem

My brake lights on my 2003 Ford E250 won't work.. the lights on the back of the van don't but the brake light on top works. Checked a couple of fuses and they seemed fine but not sure if checked all the pertinent ones. Now my gear shift wont come of park.

Don't know if it could be a fuse, a brake switch, turn signal switch, relay or the solenoid or something different altogether.
