Brakes

I have another problem. When I apply brakes, my car's steering wheel vibrates, particularly at speeds greater than 50 mph.

Are the brakes bad? If so, what could be wrong. I want to do my homework before I take it to a mechanic.

It sounds like your rotors are warped. Try having them turned, costs are around 6$ a rotor.
