I think the game is fun but if your not a car nut it gets too repetitive plus once you get the skyline R34 you can beat any car in the game (exept wanderers)

Its basically a 240Z with a engine transplant. All maxed out , I got 1104 Hp , and with all the level 5 body kit installed , this car does not clear 2000 lbs:bloated: This car will take the next fastest car in the game for a walk , the Speed Kings car. I was able to easily hit the games 263 mph speed limit within 10 seconds or less. The Speed King's Skyline can make 1258 Hp and will also hit 263 with ease. The normal R34 does not stand a chance with either of these cars. The Porsche turbo might , however , as well as the Viper.

i have a tuned rx7 that goes very fast, im sure can compete with that 240z.

Nope. Maybe ......if its the RX7 you win from White Charisma ...and I say maybe , but otherwise , no. The only 2 ways I was able to beat him , is when you start in front of him , block him , or the AI tends to get confused and runs into walls or the back of trucks , sometimes. Even the S-K car is no real match for that car , beleive me. It can beat every other car in the game , hands down. Its also the fastest in the 1/4 mile track in Time Attack mode. I got an 8.23 out of it.:bloated:

Yah , it makes the Viper look stable by comparison.:bloated: I like to go back and beat it again every now and then.

o yeah, and I think nothing in the game can beat the #400 wanderer, it's just that fast when the computer keeps it straight, you can only beat him by making him crash, second fastest car is probably the mid boss's skyline and dat doesn't come close to beating it :frown:

is there a eclipse if so do u know what kinda of body kits there are?

Theres 2 Eclipses , the 2G GST and the 3G GT . The 2G maxxs out at 599 Hp , the 3G , being NT , gets only 430 or so. The 2G body kits don't do much for it. The 3G has better choices , but again , less power. A minor cheat to acquire miles quickly and more power options , leave the selection screen up which pops up after a race , don't select anything. The car will go into cruise mode and you will get some awesome views of Tokyo's highways. Let it go all night while you are sleeping , you'll get about 600-700 miles. Engine mod upgrades start showing up around 1200 miles

I don't think so. But it should say on the box if it was. If it supports 2nd gen analog , it should support that.:bigthumb:

I'm stuck once i beat White Carisma. I can't get any of the wanderers to race me. Is there a catch or something like using the same car on them or a certain win percentage?

Different Wanderers will race for different reasons. One Wanderer will only race a black car. Another will only race against a stock (level 1) exhaust system. Another will only race a certain license plate. Some will only race unless you beat other Wanderers or certain gang leaders.
Use keyword search "Tokyo Extreme" , it should provide you with an FAQ with a list of all the Wanderers and how to race them. I've seen it , its in print only . I'd provide the link myself but last time I looked at it was over a year ago.

Yeah , my car is geared more towards top speed. You might finish quicker , but I cross the line at over 200 mph. And I may be incorrect about that time , I may have been thinking of the S-K car when I posted that. Now that my PS2 is running again , I can check those times again. :bigthumb:

the R35 is in the game but it's hidden. You have to hit the back of the flatbed with the car on it. I think you have to go 250+

also, as far as I know, to get full engine, exaust, and body mods(not aero parts) you need to have at least 1864 miles on your odo

I wonder if that info is even correct. I've hit that damm flatbed about 50 times at about 260 mph , and still nothing. :mad: I've used the Speed-Kings race Skyline and the 240Z and the Porsche turbo. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong. Have you done it yourself and gotten the car ?

To correct an earlier post I made , my 240Z actually does the 1/4 mile in like 6.25 at about 200 mph , maxxed out with the #7 engine and #8 exhaust.

And you are prolly correct about the mileage needed to gain parts upgrades , I thought it was 1500 but it seems to be more like 2200. I've had around 1800 before with no upgrades.

You think that Viper is fast , try it with the turbo Porsche , or the 240Z. Both can hit 250+ mph in less than 10 seconds , and more like 7 for the 240Z. :rofl:
I honestly think that R35 is a wack deal. I've figured out a method of determining where the flatbed is , and can pretty much hit it at 263 anytime I please. I've done the same as you , and I figure the original guy to post it in the FAQ's must be lying , or its a different version of it he's talking about. There's 2 versions of Tokyo Extreme on Dreamcast , and even an older version on PS1 (Tokyo Highway Battle) .

Well...i read up on a couple of other forums and apparently two or three people SAY they have recieved the r35 wether they are telling truth or noti dont kno...i need to re gear my 240 cause it keeps topping and i hate that porche and i finaly got my viper the way i like so thats the only reason i was saying that. the console versions thing is a good point though...welll untill then imma work at that lamborghini diablo...if that exists.... Those guys said to make sure you hit exactly from behind and not at an angel...but im pretty sure ivce done that..

Duuuuude , the Porsche is the best handling car in the game , period. I can run the Wangan line both ways doing 220 all night long. Once you set it up right , it goes where you point it. I lie not. Here , I'll give you my settings.

Set ride height at -10 both ends
Set spring hardness at +5 front , +3 rear.
Set shock hardness at -2 both ends.
Set gears all low and maxx out final drive on high.
Make sure you are running the #8 or #9 tires
I mighta forgot something but prolly not important. Try those settings and tell me if its not better. The Viper is positively crappy compared to the Porsche. :lol2:
Oh , and my Porsche has 1160 Hp.............. :rofl:

Lets seeeeee. 3rd race has gotta be the 3rd time trial track. You know where the time attack section is in the menu. Must be that. I'll give it a try later when I go home. Let ya know tommorrow how it works out. Beat the Speed-King by a lap WHERE is what I'm still trying to figure out. Must be the oval track the 1/4 miles track is on , but how do you race him there.............? :confused:

Yeah I've got one of those and a Civic-racer. Both make about 380 Hp , and can do 200 mph with ease , but they are both my slowest cars. :lol:

ahh yes but mines the fastest of my cars right now, now it has 210 hp. its beaten almost every bodyso far, tops speed of 144 in 3rd gear

I got TXR Zero last month along with Gran Turismo 3, and I spend the same amount of time playing both of them (actually playing TXR Zero right now). I've already beaten TXR2 on Dreamcast. Is it just me, or do the graphics on TXR 2 for Dreamcast seem better than TXR Zero on PS2?

The PS2 version is much superior graphically to all of them , and the car control is MUCH better. I think maybe you need a new TV , or you PS2 is on a RF switch instead of AV inputs. It's not the equipment, I bought a new 27" tv when I got the game, which shows pretty good actually. The scenery looks a lot better , it's just that some cars, like the 300ZX, don't look as good as on the DC version. But I just bought the Skyline, which looks a lot better in my opinion. Maybe they rushed the 300ZX model. I miss the old car select screen, too. But it TXR Zero is a better game. I thought a sequel was coming out, any news on that?

Yeah , I agree about a couple of the car models looking unfinished. In the Honda's , there's a couple of unfinished exhaust systems , they look 2D. I have heard no news on a sequel , or anything at all from Genki in a while. Perhaps they broke up or got acquired by someone. A new version supporting online play , with a massive city to play in , where you could do street or highway racing , and everybody could be online at once would be badass , but horribly expensive , I would think. With all the rage about street-racing , this would be just the thing to maybe get kids off the streets. I'm hoping that SRS (Street Racing Syndicate) will fill the gap for now , and it looks a lot better than NFS:Underground.

Dang , chill out. :lol: Yes , Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero for the PS2 has a Viper in it. Its very fast in a straight line all tuned out , but it handles horribly in the corners. But it is one of the top 5 fastest cars in the game. You have to beat one before you can buy it , which won't happen til you can access Wangan.

I believe the Dodge Viper's in all of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer games. I've gotten it in TXR2, and I have access to it in TXR 0. I don't have the first game, but I believe there's a Viper on the cover, so I'm pretty sure it's on there as well. Like MK3Supra said about the Viper in TXR 0, it handles horrible0, but it's probably the second fastest car on TXR2. Once you drive for a few hundred miles, all you get is wheel spin.
