A loud persistant rattle prompted me to disassemble our supercharger after llistening with a stethescope. We suspected the usual bad bearings.NOT SO,The bearings were in good shape(156k miles) but the coupler holes are elongated and all are cracked. I was planning to install and ream bushings to repair the coupler. No can do. NEED PART NUMBER AND SOURCE FOR THE COUPLER. ANY HELP APPRICIATED.

I dont know where you would find part numbers aside from a GM dealer. Go into a dealer, and go to the parts counter, and explain what you want, they will bring up a picture on their computer, a breakdown or the supercharger and lower intake components. Identify on the picture the hoses you are looking for, and ask for the part number. If I were you, I'd go ahead and get the parts there, although they may have to order it. I will look in my service manual to see it I can find a part number for you.
Good luck!

Thanks for the the help, I tried talking to the local Pontiac parts dept. They were less than helpful. They of course wanted to sell a Supercharger Assy. Can't blame them, they have to make a living. My search continues. I'll pass on the solution to this problem when and as soon as I find one

Just finished making a coupler for the blower, the test fit is a little snug. Found that the small bearing bore is worn from about 9 o'clock to six o'clock. The Front bearing seams to be a fulcrum between the drive pulley and the inner bearing. The wear looks like the small bearing momentarlly locked and spun the outer race. Lok tite retaining compound should make up the differance and hold the outer race in place. Hope this info is helpful to someone. Will post again with farther results. Flatrater; thanks for the input will check out the source.

Doing a "Supercharger Coupler" search on Yahoo.com brings up ZZPerformance as having one. $30 isn't too bad.

Hey guys, I have the same deal but with a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville. The supercharger inner bearings are noisy (have taken it off the car and can see that the nosepiece is good, but ithe inner bearings are the problem). I am not sure if you finished the car or not, but was just wondering if you could help me with the project (any place that can do this bearing repair for me)
Thank You very Much
