Hi,
for this years http://www.modellautoausstellung.de/ in Frankfurt, which took place last weekend, Mike Gräber (Mikezibit), Frank Finkler (FraFi) and me decided to build a modern gas station in 1:24.
Plans were made early this year and here is the finished project:

I must say I enjoyed the project very much. Mike and Frank met a couple of times, I made my part and sent it to Mike.
Starting early made the project rather stressless, of course there were some things to do twice, Mike and Frank managed it to finish everything to the deadline.
Here some progress photos:
Frank drew the gas pump on the computer, a friend was milling the parts. It was my part to glue them together, paint and detail them:

together with the pillars for the roof

and the resin cast bases

Mike also cast the gas pump nozzles

He then made the alu-frame for the roof

You guys really rocked the show! This petrol station is nothing short of amazing! Well done and much respect. It has to be seen in person, the pictures don't do it justice.

The secret is disclosed!
You three guys,
after many weeks of getting tiny featureless pics from parts of the growing diorama, we now know what it is. You picked our noses. It was a great pleasure to see the result of your work!

What a fantastic work of art. This thing is truly alive. You guys did an amazing job on this and the lights really bring this diorama to life. All that is missing is your T-Max Scooter parked somewhere there. Super job.

Porsche club meetings at the gas station? :-P
This is a sleeper. At first look it doesn't seem too exciting until you start looking at the details.

Looking at these pictures, it ist not necessary to make a project for 2014 called RWB-meeting or VW meeting, this already happened in 2013 :-)
