OK when building up LS v-tecs and B20 vtecs ,i hear alot about it being unreliable and bent valves etc.... out of the two b20 and LS which one ,if any, is more reliable. Is the valves getting bent a problem on any VTEC head that you use. Finally what would be the best combination B18A with B16 head ,GSR head ,or Type R head. Or is the B18B better with the a certain head. Or is the B20 better with certain head.
Thanks for the halp.

well, 1st off LS/VTEC b20/VTEC swaps AREN'T unreliable. they simply HAVE to be done CORRECTLY, and taken care of.
its as simple as that. do it correctly, and take the correct time/money u'll have a sweet motor. rush it an jus get it over w/...u'll have problems up the ying.

ok can somebody try and answer the rest of that for me. Also i want to know something else now. i've seen several all motor b20vtecs, and they were running high comp pistons like 12.5:1. The main problem i hear is that the pistons tap the valves. Wouldn't higher compression pistons be even closer to the valves because of the dome one the pistons. Please help me because im very interested in this swap. If not im just going to procede and just do the normal b20 non-vtec.
