For all Integra drivers

I'm looking for a performance-ready, reliable car in the $0-5000 dollar range, and I'm curious: why did you choose an Integra over other cars of similar performace and in the same price range, i.e. 240sx, Eclipse, Talon, Civic, Celica, 300zx (pre-1991), Stealth, 924, SE-R, Prelude, CRX, etc?

IMO Integras look sick as hell, relatively cheap to fix and mod and are reliable as hell...

i chose it cause i think it looks cool, and it has a lot of potential

heres my reasons for choosing integras over the following cars..

Prelude - its a girl car

civic - everyone has one, the year i was looking for cost a lot more than the integras of the same year, slow, less potential (due to SOHC)

240sx - less aftermarket, more expensive, not as sexy

Eclipse - ugly for the same year as the integra i was looking for, heavier, less aftermarket, not reliable (any year... friends 02 eclipse's transmission went out after 6800 miles)

celica - girl car, expensive aftermarket

talon - see eclipse

924 - expensive, high maintenance

SE-R - nissan. nuff said. (looooooooooots of my friends had problems with them)

300zx (pre-1991) - see SE-R

Stealth - american. nuff said.

CRX - too small (im 6'6")

if not an integra i'd get the CRX because all you have to do is b16 swap for like $1000 and itll be less than the same cost as the integra but run in the low 14s.

integras are damn sexy and damn reliable and pretty cheap (if your looking for the 90-93 year).

ive owned 2 integras and i loved the first one (R.I.P.) and love my current one.

Reliability, reputation, resale, aftermarket, looks, speed

I disagree ... I was looking hard for a 90-93 in the price range I was willing to spend and they were all about 4 g's ... ended up buying my 91 civic for $2400

but nah, jus enjoy the high rev'n capabilities an the stiff suspension. it'll be my last honda (anytime soon atleast) but im happy w/ it.

Just out of curiosity, what are you planning on buying next?

Also, this is kind of random, and in the wrong forum, but how did you get that Wu-Tang avatar? Every time I try to make one, I save a picture as a jpeg, then copy and paste it in the URL field in the "upload picture" part of Edit Profile, but nothing ever shows up. Any suggestions?

I saved it as a jpg re sized it too 100x100 uploaded it...

well...sadly, i'll prolly get either a GTI 1.8t or an audi a4 1.8t.

i MIGHT even go for an earli 90's 5.0 (yes...i kno...its a stang)

if i stay in the honda realm (which i doubt) i'll import a rhd ITR or civic (non-type r).

the third would be my top pick (rhd teg), but i jus dunno if i wanna stay w/ hondas.

I will be selling my GS-R next year. I love it though, but I think im gonna love my WRX a little more :D

Yeah, I gotta agree. After buying my 97 GSR, I've come to realize it was the wrong decision.Not that I don't love my car, but, AWD turbo is the way to go.Stock they are faster, and hardly need to spend the $ to make even faster then they are.WWWAAAAAAHHHHHHHH, I WANT MY EVO!!!!!!!!!!!

But hey, for the money I'd need to by 1 of them, I could still make my car spank the sh!t out of them.Unless I bought an Eclipse, but I think they are junk.

not me, i would keep the integ and turbo that. it would be a lot cheaper than buying the wrx and the insurance would be lower. not to mention the wrx to me is fugen ugly.

Not to criticize, but why would you want a si over your integra right now? My friend has one and it really isnt impressive compared to my gsr. Plus, they are a lot more expensive. You are getting less car for more money compared to integras. U could prol buy a 2002rsxs for the money that most 200o si's are going for.
