I have been looking into an engine for my 98 civic ex. I have heard a lot of opinions on what is good for turbos, supercharged, ect. I am wanting to drive this car daily and still have a good fast car. Eventually i will add turbo probably but not a big thing. What is the best for me? Thanks.

Get the GSR, the 6th gen EX is a little heavier than a 5th gens, so the extra torque will do you good.

no question the b18c is a better engine, but... i would go with the b16a if i were u. the preice of the b18c is about twice as much i believe. with the money saved, you could make the b16a faster. what about the tranny and motor mounts? i believe it is more than a simple bolt in, i could be wrong. someone correct me here if necessary.

GSR's are only about a grand more, and mod for mod are going to be faster. B series into a civic is a bolt in with a combo of civic and teg stock mounts. Wiring is minimal depending on the model civic it is going into.
