Here's the first car model I've ever build. Followed most of the steps in the F.A.Q hopefully my next model (Aoshima C-West Rx-7) will be better than this one. I've learn from mistakes on this model. i.e: Enamel paint, no primer, no sanding, no compund, superglue on windows etc. lol didn't turn out half bad.

Well done for a first model~
The seats are a little to glossy, you should use flat red next time.

yeah, actually it is a flat red, I think it's the enamel that makes it so glossy

Naaaa, its gloss, trust me, enamel doesnt make it glossy/non glossy its just the type of paint (what it is made out of) , if it says flat red on the bottle, its wrong.
oops almost forgot, great job on your first model!!

Awesome work here! You're playing it smart by not building a full bodykit for your first model. Looks like you're hitting the basic really well! KEEP IT UP! Looks way better than my first model!

nice nice :bigthumb: you only get better from here, and judging by your effort here.. wow.. can't wait to see some 'improved' stuff (is that possible???)
one thing... polish up the muffler :) it's got like.. red paint on it  :bloated:

While I think it's an awesome attempt for a 1st model and looks very good- might I suggest using clear red and clear orange for the lights and indicators????

I definatly agree !
There's nothing to say "that part s wrong or this should be that .. "
It's a nice, clean and well executed build up !
Bravo !
One remark; the orange lights seem a bit red to me (but that's just a picky detail ! )

reatjob on your first kit:bigthumb:
but about the enamel, there is nothing wrong with using enamel, ive been modeling for around 2 yrs now and i still use enamel paints, you can get beautifull finishes with them just like with anything else, all depends on what steps you take to paint it:icon16:

ha, i wish my first model came out that good (i cant quite remember my first model. It was either a 1:32 Revell Snap 86/85 Mustang LX or a Revell 1:32 Texaco Ford Thunderbird Nascar)

lol, yeah the lights. I think I was just lazy and didn't wanna buy so many different paints on the first model  My only complaint about Enamels is that they take FOREVER to dry and cure!! argh, anyway thanks everyone

Wow! That's great for first model.
Maybe you should take outside pics.
And also remember to use flat colors for interiors.
You should have seen my first model.
The first thing my dad said was it looked like it came from a junkyard.
Well, at that time I didn't know anything about spraying, painting.
