check engine light doesn't come on...

Help ????

I have a 94 sentra GA16. When I turn the key on and all the idiot lights come on......my check engine light does NOT come on. I checked the light bub and it is good. I checked the socket in the instrument cluster and there is NO voltage. Does anyone know what could cause this. Is it a bad trace on the circuit board??? Maybe a broken wire???

It would not be a real problem as the car runs great, .... but I can't smog it unless this light works when its suppposed to....

not really sure bro...but did some serchin around....they said sometimes an upgraded ecu has this issue...did you put new ecu in it?
