On my friends' LT1 TA, it took 8 hours on a Saturday with several people who knew what they were doing. It's a hella hard install, alot of other things have to be move/undone in order to get it accomplished. If you're not confident in tools/your engine, I suggest taking it to a shop...

My expirence was on a 94 Z28. It was more of a pain in the ass than any other car. But it's definetly doable. It's all about patience!

Definately doable, just time consuming. Don't pay a shop, because it's so time consuming you'll end up paying a lot more than you ever wanted to. I've been quoted at upwards of $600. You don't have to remove motor mounts to do the install by the way. Just make sure you have copper gaskets, stage 8 locking headers bolts, a lot of time, and a cooler of ice for all of the bruised and bleeding knuckles you're going to have:bigthumb::icon16:

i have been through this before. it never took me 8 hours to do, but more like 5. The bitch part about it is getting the stock manifold off and disconecting them from the exhaust down-pipe. i can remember getting real frustrated when i was trying to tighten up the header bolts. BTW, what name brand are you looking to get 96z28SS? Dynatech has a nice set.

I was thinking either pacesetter or a set of ceramic coated SLP's on ebay.
