Strange circumstances-mazda 1.8t engine transfer

I have this mazda 323 with a 1.8 turbo engine which evreything is pretty much junk except the engine which is in great condition. There is this guy who is getting rid of his 91 mr2. The engine is the base NA version but was compeletly trashed from the previous owner. I need to know what I can do in order to transfer that mazda engine into the mr2. Is this going to be a very difficult swap?

would that even be possible? is the 323 a rwd?

It's all wheel drive, transvers mounted engine. I hear people dropping v6 engines so a smaller 4 cylinder shouldn't be as hard.
