New as heck here, but learning fast. When talking about tires, everyone here (and there) talks about size in inches, such as " I got my new 32's!)
What I have is my 265/ 70-16's stockers.
How does one tell what size in inches that is? Is there a chart conversion? Thomas.

Thanks Offroadx. When talking about the sizes, would I just round the size out? The conversion for my 265 70 16 says 30.6x10.4
I take this to mean I have 31 X 10's? Thomas

Odd that works out to 30.6" x 10.4" my 03 has 265/65R17 which is also shows 30.6" x 10.4" why are they the same?

30.6 x 10.4 is really the same as a so-called 31x10.5 since nearly all tires run a bit smaller than their listed size.
As for why a 265/70R16 is the same size as a 265/65R17...
265 is the section width in mm, basically the width from sidewall to sidewall.
70 and 75 are the sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the section width, and of course the 16 and 17 are the wheel diameter in inches.
265 mm is about 10.43 inches
10.43 x .7 = 7.3" sidewall height on the 265/70
10.43 x .65 = 6.78" sidewall height on the 265/65
multiply the sidewall height by 2 for the total (top and bottom) = 14.6" and 13.56" respectively (difference of 1 inch)
Add the 16" and 17" wheel diameters and you get 30.6 and 30.56" respectively.
