The '67 fastback isn't the greatest of kits. It requires a lot more effort afterwards to get it looking representable.

I know the problem!
Yesterday somebody said in a thread that Grand Prix Models had a sale on.
Today, I ordered this :-
1 Toyota Supra #38, Au Sports Racing 2001 by Studio 27 (STUDC2452) @ GBP 6.00 each.
1 Toyota Supra #39, Denso Sports Racing 2001 by Studio 27 (STU2453) @ GBP 90.00 each.
1 Toyota Supra #6, Esso Ultraflow Sports Racing 2001 by Studio 27 (STU2450) @ GBP 85.00 each.
Postage: GBP 8.20
Total: GBP 162.24
God help me when the missus reads the credit card bill:cya:

What exactly is so horrible ? I'm kinda experienced modeler and I expect some fit problems, but I'm sure with time and work it could be great
for the Supra, HELL NO I won't do it out of box.. lok of modification need to be done to get a good looking kit (SAS Wing, other rims, brake disk, open hood scoop etc..)

It's really just a typical AMT kit, if I remember correctly, the wheels are lackluster and the bumpers will require sanding/puttying.
I trashed the kit a while back so I can't exactly point out its flaws.

Maybe we're addicted to this shit... damn, just bought me 2 R33 JTCC and a R34... got to stop spending so much... there's so much unbuilt models on the shell that I can't even remember the color of it !!
Bahhh, wtf... anyway, it's a form of art isn't it?? So it's a good thing to express ourself. No?

True, it is an art. Like the elders say you can't take your money with ya so enjoy what it can do for you alive. I have six models still waiting to be built while I currently am working on the Lancer Evo VII for the last two months cause of lack of time.

I did the 67 fastback a while back and it was a pretty good fit compared to other non-tamiya kits. it should only need a little sanding, but the rear wheel pieces are way too small so you'll need some spares. mine was made to make large impact without major mods(as originally intended) so I wacked on a better carb, new air filter, rocker covers, magnum 500's, and painted the standard interior grey with a golden skull on the four-speed shifter  I say do it black and put a monstrous muscle mountain in it, with modern 17 inch rims.

Reminds me that I have a 67 to finish. You plan to use the stock 289?? The block even got "holes" for the cylinders, and comes with two sets of valve covers. Anyways, hope you have fun with your new kits!

thanks for comments... I will take a closer look to the rims even if modern rims would look bizzard a bit.. Do you have any pics of it ? Sure it will be black

I opened my F&F Supra last night.
For an AMT, it's a good kit. On par with the Revell Acura and Hondas.
There's no 'stock' options in it....but who cares!!
Tires are better than the Revell. AMT tires in this kit have a better a/r.
Hood grills are deeply molded in, but look like they can be filled [with some careful filling] if you wanted to.

I don't have pics of mine, but I made it prior to coming to AF, where my knowledge was pretty limited. it's basically a shemozzle of cobra bits and pieces with a candy red paint, two coat gold, two red, one clear, no rubbing though(not enough paint so I might go through) and by modern, I meant maybe torque thrust II's or some dragways. but race rims would look good, you'd just have to work the rest of the car around it.
