The last few days the car would run fine, at first. If i had to shut if off for a few minutes, and then restart it, the car would not idle right.

Today, it was a totally different situation.
It started for a second , then stalled, i turned it over again, it started right up.
I revved the engine a little, and the car just died.
It will turn over, but it won't start.
After running the battery down to nothing, i used a jumper, and again, turns over fine, just will not start.
I have been noticing over the last few months i would check the gas cap, and it would be loose, but that would never stop it from running.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what the

problem may be?, or what i can check?.

Thank you for your time.

Do you have fuel pressure at the rail, strong spark to the plugs, all basic diagnostics.
