I thought this video is pretty cool but.. it portrays a bad image. VERY dangerous racing within trafic at night (was it raining too LOL). What I speak of is none other then NFS: Underground.

Check it out for yourself. The CG aspect is cool, the way the cars 'handle' is sadistic lol but hey, interesting CG car related movie! I guess the game will be fun. The devs were clever in their actions this will probably regain NFS fandom. The last few releases TOTALLY crapped the series. Doing this will absorb new fans because tuning is what's in ;) Anyways thought I'd post this.
I love the supra and eclipse.. and I just hope they are not misrepresented o_O

Well I always believe that F&F made insurance higher and gave car tuning a bad hooligan image :p

Looking forward to this game, actually. Not sure that the last few releases buggered the series - only really the last one, HP2, did any real damage. Porsche 2000/Unleased was one of the best driving games I've ever played, and I really enjoyed Motor City Online up until EA gave up on it after their poor promotion effort. Played MCO for almost 12 months, and never got bored with it. Always something else to try, another car or part to buy, and another person to race.
What appeals about NFS: Underground is the same thing I enjoyed about MCO - customization and tunability. The only thing that'll be missing is the virtually unexploitable economy of MCO. I only hope the online component of the game is good enough - racing against real people is much more rewarding than racing against AI.
Car related games and movies have featured unsafe driving in traffic and bad weather for years - this one ain't any different. It's a game - any similarity to realistic driving conditions or circumstances is purely coincidental and entirely unintentional! :iceslolan.

Ya I guess you're right NFS:HP2 is what screwed the series majorly. I don't wish to begin writing I'd need to write like 4 pages of how bad the game is! Heh, kind of funny I guess.. the entire PC dev team was fired :D The PS2 version was supposingly somehow good (I find it hard to believe I never tried it though but hey).. with GT3 and other racing games it should suck so :/ Ah well :D Ya I'm looking forward to this game, I hope its a race sim not arcade poo like nfs:hp2.. every car felt the same urgh..

lol, well lets not prejudge.. although I must agree and stress enough how crappy NFSHP2 was.. but lets hope EA learned from its mistakes (heh the PC dev team was entirely fired! I wonder who's doing this game specifically). It is a cool idea it's what's in ;) but.. hopeful its not a crappy arcade game (anyone know about the game called street racer? eeeew.... interesting build up game but CRAPPY physics when it actually comes to driving/racing).
I suppose it'll have some cool cars and the 3d engine is finally a refit.. all the previous engines were mere upgrades, this one is visually uncomparable to the others.
Gt4 is a totally dif game, this game is soley dedicated to tunning.. but GT4 oh ya definetely I can't wait!
Personally the only game I play now is (www.liveforspeed.net) and from time to time GPL but.. I need to get a wheel, pedals and a shifter.. i hate using mouse+keyboard.. with the mouse I have a descent form of sensitivity but when it comes to throttle.. i have little to no control i have to tap tap tap or let go then step on it, etc.. when i want to move.. (I'm implying throttle here). hmm lets hope this game rocks :D
So any other games that might have been inspired by f&f or 2f2f. Street racer is another (it's like a 'value' game hah.. I think it's been labeled as the buggiest game ever released.. there is like a gazillion patches and still really really buggy)

:drools
:watches NFS:Underground: yawn... And why must they all freaking have NOS!?!? No serious racer uses it! I mean c'mon!!
The Gran Turismo series is the only one for me....

HUD on the last screenshot was nice. I am still a devoted fan of GT3 and can't wait for GT4 to come out...I also like Tokyo Extreme Racer 0 for some odd reason :D . Most other driving games I have played have been so unrealistic that I couldn't stick with them (not to say TER0 is a bit unrealistic...I still like it!)
