Aoshima

hi,
I have noticed that Aoshima models are generally a bit more expensive than their tamiy acounter parts. The car i was looking at was the Ls400, from both companies. THe aoshima ones are all Y1800, but the tamiya is only Y1200, and has an engine.
Can someone please tell me about the quality of aoshima?

Aoshima models are pretty good in quality and they build up quit easily. Only thing is they usually have no engine. Do a search on Aoshima and look at some of the ones these guys have completed here.

the quality of aoshima kits are second to tamiya from what i've experienced and would recommend it. about the Ls, the tamiya made the first version of the car 1989 model year. aoshima didn't make a 1989, but they made some of the recent LS's. make sure you're looking at the same model year. maybe your looking at the aoshima 1998 LS that might explain the price difference.
