Which old school Celica to build?

Ive seen a few people on the forums have these kits but I havent been able to find any opinions on quality etc. I was going to grab the Hasegawa kit but then I saw that a few people had some problems with their road car kits, does anyone know if the Celica kit is any good? Or am I better off sticking with the Aoshima?

Aoshima 1/24 Toyota Celica LB2000GT

or
Aoshima 1/24 Toyota Celica 1600 GT

I would like to use the Aoshima SSR Forluma Mesh Wheels, would these be difficult to fit on the Hasegawa kit? Im fairly new at modifing kits so I'd like to stay way from any difficult conversions for now.

I'm not too keen on Hasegawa unless it's a rally car kit but you would be better off with the Aoshima kit. It wouldn't be too hard to modify the wheels to fit and it would be good practice for you; go for it!!!:sunglasse

I like the styling of the first kit.

i have just purchased the hasagawa celica. the kit has some good detail, great set of minilite wheels and some chassis detail. there is no motor but depending on your skill level, wouldn't be too hard if you could find one. i have only seen pics of the aoshima kit and the detail looked a bit sad IMO. hope this helps
cheers B:aus: :ylsuper:

Just completed my first order from HLJ, ended up getting the Hasegawa kit so we'll see how it goes

Just spoted the Sakatsu Toyota 2T-G (http://www.grandprixmodels.com/shop/result.asp?pg=&schRef=&schCarType=2t%2Dg&schYear=&schDriver=&schSponsor=&schEvent=&schScale=1%3A24&schManufact=All&schKit=All&myID=0&sav=All&t=None&c=&#res) at Grand Prix Models :eek2:

I can see this becoming a very expensive hobby :p
