conversion convertable into hardtop

Has any1 ever herd of a hard top for a convertable eclipse? Ive seen them on mazda miatas and i wanted to no if they were available for eclipses. Also ive seen a targa top for an eclipse, if any1 has any info plz post it.

Im sure you could get a hardtop custom made for an eclipse...but I don't know why. You'd have to have the existing top removed and a hard top fabbed up...ehh. As far as a targa goes, it's not even close to worth it. Only two guys have done it themselves and it took them months. The bottom line is this, if you want to shell out 10K+ to make your car handle worse, more unsafe, and a less sporty car just to have a roof piece come out, go for it.

You think i should just leave it a convertable? I like it for the summer but 4 some reason the hardtop ones look like littler cars.

have u ever tried to sit in the back seat of a vert?
or seen in the trunk?

ya my back seat is small and my trunk is very small. But the only hardtops ive been in are hatchbacks

you "could" do a targa out of a convertable and not have to worry about handleing issues. $$$ would be the only factor though.

i have no idea about the cost of it. i have never heard of anyone doing it out of a convert' before
