i've been to canadian tire recently and noticed there is a huge collection of automotive and other types of spray paints available.

i wish i could try them all but i have limited $$ to spare :(

just wondering which brand and kind of paint do you advanced modelers use
coz i m really nervous that the paint may eat plastics

pictures would be nice so i can locate the exact one easily

thanks!!

I don't know how advanced I am but I use Plasti-Kote and Dupli-Color auto paints with very few problems; the problems I do encounter are my fault and not the paint's fault:tongue:

I say a expert modeler would use a Air Brush or Tamiya Spray cans, i also use Tamiya Spray Cans, and they work out really well.

I've used Duplicolour with no problems. In fact, I'm using it on my current project.

I'm not fond of lacquers unless I need a metallic color. I've learned this hobby using testors enamel sprays and I've learned a few tricks to getting a good finish with them.

Enamels - Krylon, Testors, Model Masters, Colors by Boyd

Lacquers - Duplicolor, Tamiya

You can use most paints as long as you use a primer first. Yes you have to use primer. Also light coats prevent damage.
