Mods cause trouble?

As someone who would like to get into modifying a Maxima, I was wondering:
1. Where do you guys (girls , too?) take your cars for any problems? Back to the tuner?
2. Do any of the mods decrease reliability?
3. Have any mechanics ever implicated your mods in causing problems w/car?

1. What problems? :) hehe. for regular maintence, back to the dealer. if something goes wrong and i can't fix it myself, then either back to the dealer, or to your friend's shop. hehe.

2. Decrease reliability? Actually no. but once you put ON the mod, you'll drive it harder, faster, and thus cause more problems down the line if you are not careful.

3. nope. If they try to pull some warranty crap on you. then they have to prove it was the main cause of problems..
