For those of you with M.O.S. I have the cure.

M.O.S. (Missing Oil Syndrome) I know that this probably applies to most of you with highesh mileage G20 (or other SR20DE powered cars for that matter). MOS: while changing your oil you may notice that you only ever get 3 quarts out when your car actually takes 3.5 (even if you just put three quarts in when you change your oil, your engine seems to retain around 1/2 quart of oil). Well I have discovered the cure. Last oil change I used Valvoline Max Life 5W-30 (insted of just regular 5W-30). I just finished changing my oil (last oil change I put in the specified 3.5 quarts of oil) and low and behold I driained out almost exactly 4 quarts of oil. I guess the extra detergents and such in the Max Life actually do make a difference.
