Extended Warrenty?

Hello,

I have 2000 323i, which has close to 49k miles on it. I bought the car new this is my first car. I am wondering if I should buy Extended Warrenty on my car through the dealer (Calif. doesnt allow buying E. Warrenty online).

The only problem I had in last 4 yrs was, the engine light started glowing for no reason last year. The dealer said this could be due to a loose fuel cap, but I normally make sure the fuel cap is tight. When took it for repair, the service personell said the oxygen sensor had to be replace. Dont know if this is a major probem but just want to stay away from expensive repairs.

Please advice. Thanks.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it! Thats my attitude. The extended warranty only covers major problems mostly associated with power train. Your oil changes and wipers etc. are out of pocket with extended warranty. So... if the car is in good condition, save your money and only give it what it needs when it needs it, and try to do as much as you can yourself! :iceslolan
