DON'T BUY THE CHILTON'S - spend the extra $35 and get the real deal please
The tranny is more complex than the engine is dude....I would not even attempt to mess with it without a REAL factory manual.

Yes...however...these days, Helm is the authorized distributor for Honda manuals.
www.helminc.com - it is the BEST $62 I ever spent...you won't regret it..the one you are looking for is the "shop manual"

it probaby won't stay up very long if you do post it somewhere..i think that is usually considered copyright infringement. :frown:
Reverse always grinds on Honda trannies if you don't know how to shift it right...it is a non-synchroed gear....next time you come to a stop to shift into reverse try this....as u push the clutch in and the car rolls to a stop (at around 5mph or whatever) - shift into 2nd just as the car stops, keeping the clutch in, THEN try reverse...it helps to sync things up so R won't grind ;)
BLU - Why don't you buy the Si tranny, and then rebuild it as time & money allows, and then throw it in when it is done?

Full trans teardown, not fun. I have broken one case on a 2003 civic cuase of a trans leak, damn gaskets. The bearing ins't too hard to replace, just two springs on either side that you unhook and took out. Place antisieze on the new one and put the springs back on. No on the new trans if you don't know what type of condition it is in.
