Hello guys, let's start another project, this is a Yamaha TZ 350 K 1981 Prototype.

The difficulty in making this model was not having pictures, everything was based on a text with the technical details and a brief comment about the engine derived from the TZ 750.

Used for the design of the kit Tamiya 14026 Yamaha YZR 500 Kenny Roberts 1/12 scale.

The Front Fork, removed the chrome parts and also a caliper and brake discs on the right side, because the technical details, this bike possessed single disc brake at the front.
Primer was applied on all parts.

The top plate with semi-handlebar levers and reservoir oil hydraulic brake.
The plan was to redo the semi-handlebars, but decided to leave as it was, just changed the angle of the throttle.

In reference engine was derived from the TZ750 (inline four-cylinder two-stroke) cut the original engine to the two cylinders TZ350, separated the cylinders of the engine block.
The water pump is the same as the TZ750, is located inside the engine.

Hello John, thanks for visiting and the compliments, here in Brazil there is only one TZ350, restored by a collector, this bike belonged to the pilot Adu Celso, participated in competitions of the world in the 70s, however the owner does not allow to see her, researched references on the internet, I saw a text on the internet without photos on this bike, the 350cc category competed in the world until 1981, got some photos of the last TZ 350 in regional championships in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe, joined the references to make this kit.
I like motorcycles classical competition mainly from Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles 2-stroke engines are incredible.
My project is to make the beginning by Yamaha 50cc, I have done the TZ125 '93 and TZ250 '94 was now ready to TZ350.
Soon I finish posting the rest of the job, thanks for the comments.
hug

Emerson - really excellent attention to details for not have a TZ350 around to use as a reference
I've been thinking of maybe trying to do a TZ750 from the early 80's

Absolutely fantastic build, and enjoyable to see the end result.

Just one thing about the final paint work, the number boards should be blue, and not yellow.

The 350 class used blue backgrounds for the race numbers, whereas the 500's used yellow, other than that, spectacular.
