At least once a week key locks up and won't push in to start vehicle. Dealer service stated this is a security issue when you bump into the steering wheel it locks up, told me to move steering wheel. It did start after doing this. This is happening at least once a week and I should not have to move the steering wheel every time. Has anyone heard of this? It is frustrating since the vehicle is 3 months old. Tried all keys, even valet key, nothing works, until I move the steering wheel.

Simply go to dealer, and go straight to customer satisfaction manager. And write letter to Toyota. Be polite but persistent. Politeness can get you very far. Simply tell them that you appreciate their input, but as issue continues on regular basis, you request having lock changed. Not the cylinder, entire lock mechanism, it's quite large part.
If they refuse to, write down their names and inform them that you will pass this onto Toyota USA for review.

Do you grab the steering wheel to get in or out of the car? Do you park on a hill and use the ebrake?
