What really is done to the car?

Ok this has probly been asked millions of times, what does motorex actally do to the car to make it legal. Yes i would love to own a skyline, and like everbody no, i don't want to pay the 25K it costs, but by the same token 25K really isn't that bad to have a car that very few other people actually have.

Now, besides trying to cheat the government and everything else, If the car is going to be registered in a State besides Cali does it have to stand to their code or can it be fixed to the state wide codes plus the state the car will be in's codes.

Now last question, If one is already owned in Japan and just needs transported over here but like in my case the only reason i would want it, (or even be able to use it for that fact) is on a racetrack between my naval training can you just have the car shipped and then if you decide you want to have the car as a street driven car have it converted later by whomever would that be possible.

The reason i ask these is because i have a very good freind that lives in Japan and owns a couple of really nice Skylines that he is going to make a deal for me when i go over in July. I plan to buy his so he can get a new one, and then have it shipped here. I will be going off to Basic Training for the Navy in Febuary so i don't feel i will have a bunch of time for my car so thats why it would really only be a racecar, but once i'm doing actual work as a Nuclear Engineer I will probly have time between being at see, so i would want the car legal then.

Help me if you can, and lets not get pissed, i just want to know. And besides it's not cheating them, it's postponing the legalization.

i'm going to say it again, and in a kind loving way.

read the top thread in this forum.

then call/email motorex or rbmotoring.

www.motorex.net

www.rbmotoring.com

they will have every answer for every question you have.

that will get everything finished for you.

and your idea of "show/race" car turning street legal would work, but you'd still have to go through that expensive legalization process...

now or later... i say do it now... you'd be happier driving a skyline daily.
