This is my first post on this particular forum :sadwavey:
As a quick introduction, i'm 16 and am currently driving my first car ('95 Chevy Camaro V6 convertible). I had a quick question about subwoofers (I know nothing, i mean nothing), one about LED/Neon underglow, and one about supercharging.
Subwoofers
Firstly, I want to purchase some subwoofers for my car, because as a 16 year old I need to live up to the "Punk Teenager" stereotype :evillol: I contacter a customer service representative for a company called Crutchfield, mainly because of their promise to help in any way they could. I received a very quick (1 day) response, and the representative said that he had put together a bundle for me, that would get the most out of my money :dunno:. OF course, I immediately discarded this as an overpriced bundle of inferior equipment being forced upon me by a company employee. Was I right to do so?
Here is the package he recommended to me:
http://www.crutchfield.com/I-rXYEc111/EmailCart.asp?emType=3&emKey=977298
Here is the package i assembled on Amazon in 5 minutes:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=gno_cart
Anyways, my question is this: Would the package I assembled on amazon work, how would the quality be, and do you guys have any other recommendations?
LED/Neon Underglow
As my camaro is red, I naturally wanted to get red underglow for my car, however in the state of florida you cannot display red or blue lights from the front of your vehicle at any time while in movement. Could I display red underglow for the sides and the back, and then a dark amber for the front?:sunglasse
Also, could you guys recommend any cheap, high quality, LED or Neon underglow kits? Do not worry about installation.
Supercharging my motor
Supercharging my motor will probably come after making many mods to improve the look of my car honestly. However, i am planning on supercharging it in the future. How much of a gain in horsepower could i expect on a stock '95 camaro V6 if i were to supercharge it?
If I posted this in the wrong area, please take this down or redirect me ot the correct area. I am really enjoying learning about cars and the different mods that can be made to them, but I am probably the biggest newbie on the forums at this point. Thanks for the help, and I hope to get to be friends with alot of you
I am assuming you like pictures, so I attached a picture of my car on the day I bought it before being cleaned.

Amazon cart links do not work. Crutchfield is known for good service, but I'd suggest you find an audio forum to ask in.
Underglow kits are all pretty much the same. Cheap lights that get zip-tied to the floor. I recommend LED strips, especially if you don't service your own car. Neon tubes interfere with lifts we use in shops and damage will not be covered unless the technician is warned in advance. The LED strips are much more forgiving.
Colors will be up to your local laws. Contact the police and ask them.
I'm assuming your V6 is a 3.8. If you want more power, I suggest an LS1/LT1 swap instead of boost. The Camaro 3.8s are known to crack heads. I doubt it would hold up to much boost as it sits.

Thanks, I will find an audio forum to find help with the subwoofers.
About the LS1 to LT1 change. Those are firing orders, right? How much would this cost me and what would be some pros and cons?
Thanks for the help 😋

I meant swapping out the 3.8 V6 for an LT1 or and LS1. Since you have a 95, the LT1 is the factory V8 option for your year. The LS1 is the factory V8 option for 98-02 Camaros. They are completely different engines.
An engine swap is NOT cheap or cost-effective. If you want a faster car, the cheapest and easiest way is to sell yours and buy a V8 Camaro. If you are attached to your car a swap is something for you to research and decide on down the road.
