Anyone know how much Torque for the lug nuts on 17" rims on a 91 civic hatch ?

u could check in a haynes manual at autozone, personally i just make my lugnuts real real tight, most mechanics dont torque em, just check them after drving around and make sure they arent lose.

well you're SUPPOSED to torque them. maybe you can find it on a search on the net. you could warp your rotor if you don't torque it to spec.

The Civic has a torque of 80 ft/lbs. You should do it while the car is on the ground. Then drive around real quick then re-torque the lugs.
Never ever overtighten or try to guess at the torque on your lugs. You're asking for stripped studs, seized lugs, warper rotors and more stress on your hubs.

i can vouch for the warped rotors :mad: the one time i took my car to a shop...never again.

thanks for the advice... i appreciate it... now i have to go and buy a tourqe wrench and then i can put my rims on tommarow... (215/40/17... yeah baby yeah)

I got my torque wrench from Home Depot it's a Husky I think. You want to get one in foot/pounds no inch/pounds :) And make sure you get the one that clicks and not the needle type.

dang... they only got the needle type over here... cause im in germany they dont have the correct one... not on base anyways... humm... probally will have to go and check out the local stores...
