Bombing during Ramadan

What do you all think? Should we continue bombing Afghanistan during their "holy month"? Vote in the poll and please post something about why you voted as you did. I'll add my reply after I see what others are thinking...

Why the hell do they deserve special treatment? They deserve nothing more than a nice warm goat to go fuck. I say bomb them on Bin laddy's Birthday if we must.

Muslims fight with each other during Ramadan; what's the difference? It's not like the American soldiers are going to get a weekend off for Thanksgiving.

If we stop for this, they'll have a brand new holliday that lasts for three months that we cant bomb during. Fuck them. Turn that pig fucking bastard over and you wont get bombed. Dumb fuckers. (them - not the poll)

Okay then! Despite the actual poll results, I'd say it's unanimous to keep it up!!!!

I'm going to join that bandwagon. Why should we respect their holiday? They didn't even respect our daily life!!!! There's no reason why we should halt our efforts in order to seem sympathetic to the original aggressors!

Hmm, I think we should ease off on the bombing, holy month or no holy month. Notice how the Northern Alliance is so grateful? It's because they have been oppressed. They are a religious minority. Due to this, if they win, history will repeat itself, and most likely they will do an "ethnic cleansing" thing to get revenge on the taliban. We need a more detailed plan, then action.

The detailed plan includes bombing the living fuck out of those pig cock sucking assholes. Turn the fuckwas bin peckereater over or fucking die. Simple and to the point.

I say keep up the bombing. They have a civil war amongst themselves that doesn't stop during holidays, why should ours.

I too say keep up the bombing. They sacrificed whatever 'rights' they thought they had when they attacked the States.

While I do agree with HummerMan, it isn't any reason to let up on the bombing. Have a plan - great. But still bomb the shit out of them.

I guess I am on the same wagon as every one else, why stop when all they will do is regroup & attack us when we are trying to honor there supposebly holly month when it has been a proven fact that they fight all the time, If they don't respect there own holy times why should we?:mad:

I hate when people try these excuses, all there doing it for is to re-group, its unfortunate that alot of the people in Afganistan & pakistan actually the middle east don't get the truth they get watered version of what there leaders want them to hear.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been posting much lately cause I have been trying to educate myself on the situation in the USA & Afganistan & other middle east countries & the more I learn the more gloomy the situation appears.:(

yeah my view on this is that if they keep fighting during the holiday, then there's no reason for us to stop. Plus if we stopped that would give them a chance to re-group, etc.

They've received reports that another hated Muslim leader by the name of Yassir Arafat has made a request of all other Muslim leaders to join him in an attack on the US during Ramadan!!! :eek:

As for another viewpoint that supports my previous post: George W has declared that the war we are fighting is NOT a holy war. We are in this to oust a miserable form of government (and revenge). If we were to stop the bombings for this "holiday" it would make it look like religion was playing a role in our war...

They made it illegal to practice any other religion in there country yet they want us to stop the bombing because of there special holliday, I say we should increase the bombings during ramidan just to piss them off even worse, and after that start parachuting crates of Bibles and christmas cards.

And as for Yassir Arafatbastard we know were he is and if he wants to start trouble then he is as dumb as he looks. Do's he realy think we are just going to sit around and let him make trouble to, there will probably be a tomahawk knocking at his front door real soon.

it's funny how arafat said he was with the U.S. a while ago

right now the taliban took 6 american and canadians (i think those are the nationalities) out of that city we and the northern alliance just captured, and they took them to kabul. They said they're under arrest for preaching christianity..... way to respect our religions :rolleyes:

This thread gives me cause for concern.Whilst two people voted against
continued bombing,there are no posts advocating anything other than direct action.Obviously HummerMan has at some stage posted,but has since been deleted.

Was his post deleted for any reason other than the fact that he opposed bombing?I hope so, but I think it unlikely.

A cartoon was recently posted to this forum on the subject of Afghani prisoners.I posted on the thread,expressing my concern that I felt these people were being treated badly considering they had not been tried or convicted....the post disappeared,presumably deleted.

Whilst I have great sympathy for those in the U.S. who have suffered as a result of these attacks,the right to free speech is one of the key pillars of the Constitution of the United States of America.If you are fighting for your country,you are effectively fighting for the right to free speech as well.I hope that nobody is deleting posts that are not 100%pro-America and I would be happy if I can be proved to be wrong.

I think you would be talking about a post I put up. I know I wouldn't delete it (since I never delete a post) but I will have to disagree that the prisoners are being treated poorly. I wish they were treated poorly. If I let my rage get the better of me, I would say I wish they were not prisoners, but rotting corpses like the other Taliban and al Quida cave dwellers. However, I dont feel like saying that right now.

I wonder if the 4 people who didn't vote for bombing have ever heard of the Yom Kippur War?

War is not pretty. War should be taken seriously, as many people will die horrible deaths or receive dehabilatating wounds. A 'holy month' means didly next to the cold reality of war. No quarter was given in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc., and should not be given now.

i dont know exactly how many people were killed in the twin towers, but in my eyes we shouldnt stop bombing them until we have killed the same number of their innocent people as they did us.

Personally, I think we should bomb them 24/7 365 days a year (366 a leap year :) ) non stop. If our troops have to risk dying during Christmas and other holidays then screw them. However, on a more level headed response. We might cut them some slack during their holiday. One because the US isn't the mindless war machine a lot of people make us out to be. We do respect international laws such as the Rules of Engagment and Law of Armed Conflict. We did something similar during the Gulf War where we didn't start attacking until after Ramadan or something. And two, since this isn't a holy war we might let off the bombing a bit which will show respect for thier religion thus showing that we are not fighting thier religion but thier "political beliefs". Hope that made sense. However, giving them a break could prove tactically dangerous so screw 'em.
