Front turn signal bulb replacement 99 Voyager

I am trying to replace the front turn signal bulb on my 99 Plymouth voyager. I can reach the bulb socket and turn it about 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise but I cannot pull it out no matter how hard I try. Any ideas?

I have 96 and 2002 minivans. The headlamp is easy to remove in both, just 3 screws at the top. The turn signal is integral in mine. BTW, if yours are sun crazed, I got new ones fairly cheap on ebay.

I was able to take the whole headlight assembly off and discovered the reason why I was not able to remove the turn signal bulb. The bulb had partially melted the plastic housing and was not allowing it to come out.
