Hi
I decided to build the Fujimi P34. I always liked the late 77 cowling - I would have preferred a version with narrow track, but Fujimi does not offer that.
As is often the case with Fujimi, the kit has good and bad sides. The tires are just bad. It would have been nice if the decals were a bit more opaque. And the plastic is very delicate. Alclad attacked it even through a base layer of TS14, and also the clear damaged parts of the plastic. I have to look for a less aggressive clear for future Fujimi kits.
On the other hand, this time the fit was excellent. There are some parts, that I just wanted to test fit... and I just left them in place, as they snapped in perfectly. There is just one place you have to be careful: drill out the holes in Cowling and Nose, where the pins of the chassis go into. Otherwise the parts may be in place forever ;)
I painted with TS14 which I brightened up a bit with TS10 to match the decals a bit better, TS26, Alclad Alu and Steel, with Zero 1k on top. The etched parts for brakes and belts were included, I only added wiring and used Leukosilk for the belts. For the front tires I used the template we had made for ourselves in the German forum - I suggest to paint the lettering with the tires on the rims, because you can easily damage the letters when trying to force the tires on the rims.
Hope you like it.
