Alternative supercharger oil?

Does anyone know anything about this supercharger oil? It's half the cost of GM.

Intense makes a lot of products for the supercharged 3.8 and other engines. I have not seen this before but I suspect that it will work just as well as the GM product. I have always paid the extra for the GM supercharger oil because the cost is minor compared to the cost of a new supercharger.

I may be wrong, but I thought SC oil was just synthetic oil......

I am certain that it is synthetic but there are additional additives mixed in. The oil certainly doesn't smell like pure synthetic when you remove it. It has a very strong acrid smell.

I would not trust just putting synthetic oil in. Considering its only about $25 to change the SC oil and it doesn't have to be done all the time, I would say spend the money on the GM stuff.

It's like trying to save money by running 87 instead of 93. Sure you may save money now, but when you chip a piston from KR then all your savings, plus more, is now gone. So if you save $7 on SC oil and it doesn't have the right viscosity or additives and you end up destroying it because of that, is the $7 really worth the savings?
