Since you're posting on the USA section, I assume you want one here. Yes, for 40 dollars you can get an used diecast model, new ones cost more.
If that was a typo and you're looking to spend $40k for a real car, the answer is no, you won't find a driveable R34 for that kind of money. If that's what you're going to spend, it would be a R32 GT-R.

You'd expect to pay $30k+ for a stock R32 GT-R so if you're going to spend only $40k that's what you'd be looking at.

I'm not sure I follow you. R32 GT-R comes with a RB26DETT. The extra -10k is for taxes, repairs and modifications.

There are not 4 exhaust pipes. You mean the silver things in the rear bumper towards the top??? Those are racing fuel caps, they pump the fuel ridiculously fast to the tank.

You really need to see a better shot of the side of the car dude, there both like 4 inch outlets on one side for bigtime exhaust venting :)

u can see the two pipes on the side now, and for racing purposes its fine

XspudX To answer your question, check with Motorex. They are the only company in the US that imports Skylines. I know, I live in Japan, and would so love to bring a GTR back. However, it costs an arm and a leg. Good luck.

how hard can it possibly to throw in an extra o2 sensor?

25Grand hard. Motorex charges 25grand for GTRs after 95. As for importing the car, you will have to buy one that is two years old. Again, the people at Motorex informed that California will not allow them to import a car less than 2yrs old.

I agree that ODBII shouldn't be that hard to integrate but that's not the point. Motorex charges $25k for ODBII cars, 96 and up. Then other expenses on top of that and it should be in the $30k range + the cost of the car.

Ok, to legalize a JDM car you have to do two things, 1) Convert to OBDII. I know Motorex charges $25,000 for this but I wonder what it would cost me to have my friend (a mechanic) do it. He wouldn't try to squeeze every possive penny out of me for it, like Motorex. 2) You have to present crash test data in order to register the car. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. I called Nissan Japan but their automated answering system is all in JAPANESE! DUH! It was stupid for me to try. I think all I have to do is figure out the equivilent of the NHTSA in Japan and then contact them somhow (I don't speak Japanese) and have them e-mail or fax it to me. Screw Motorex...I'll figure this shit out on my own....hopefully. I sure as hell will not pay $95,500 for a $58,000 car!
If anybody knows what the Japanese equivilent of the NHTSA in Japan, Please e-mail or PM me!

Wrong. A company hired by Motorex did the crash testing, that is part of the reason for their prices. Read their FAQ.

Even if you do call the Japanese equivalent of the NHTSA and get their crash test data, it won't help much. The reason is that your data would be from a test carried out in Japan, not the US. The chances of crash standards being the same for both countries are virtually nil. Even if standards were the same, the US folks would probably want to do their own tests anyway.

motorex is the only RI to ever crash test a car. that info will never be public info.
japan does have crash tests, but they don't do the same tests we do, and they don't look for the same outcome. you can't use these in the US. you can use this info when submitting a patition to import a car that has a like model with the same name and design in the us. one is in for the RHD evo's now. it will never pass, but if it does, evo 6 here I come:smile:
