I have a 1995 Nissan maxima with a 3.0 v6 standard shift. It will not start. When I bought the car the rpm didn't work but it ran fine at the time. Then about a week later it started taking forever to crank. A couple days later it wouldn't crank at all. Any ideas as to what I should do?

Crank or start? It is such an ambiguous word.
sounds like FUel pump. Spray starting fluid in it, and see if it wants to start on that.

No fuel? Water in tank? Pump doesnt produce any (?) noise ... pressure: fuel hose near filter stiffens after turning ign key; check. Filter blocked? etcetc
If fuel delivery works, you will get plenty of gas stinky fumes after long cranking ... when nostart.
Pull filter hose off and quick check if gas is flowing - ign key on/off - just no smoking there... Use rags to collect the fuel (if any).
Some spark seems working as start gas ignites. However, no history of plug / coil swap ? Change plugs now.
