Ford Fiesta S2000 - Rally Monte Carlo 2011 - Solberg/Minor - Belkits - 1/24

Like Lesley (eyckles) I recently finished the Belkits Ford Fiesta S2000. The decals I used were from Reji decals and it was painted and clearcoated with Zero Paint. The interior was build out of the box, just added some CF on the door panels. On the outside I replaced the exhaust by a nicer looking metal pipe. And I added a mesh to the the front grill. Biggest change though was the lowering and widening of the suspension to get a nicer stance. Like Lesley's build I cut the window-part to make it fit better. But whereas Lesley cut it in 6 parts I only cut it in 4.

I also have the Prokop version to build, just got the decals a few days ago, I'm surprised that the gold line crossing the car is to be painted whereas the small touch over the fender is from decals...
the red and blue will be a challenge too !!
But I like to work with Reji decals too.

Looks sensational. Agree with Shunter - all these recent models make me want to get my hands on some Belkits offerings.

Fantastic build. The subtle changes are real improvements. How did you do the panel lines are they look spot on.

I've also partially built a Belkits Fiesta and the strut locations are not ideal and a little tricky.

I did 2 things to get this result:
1. scribe the panellines quite deep (before paint of course).
2. At the very end I used oil paints diluted with white spirit to make the panellines darker.
