hi guys,
i've built a orange/black S15 a while ago:
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/orangefinished5.jpg
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/orangefinished9.jpg

and actually at the same time i was building another S15 as well orginally in gold colour with carbon fibre bonnet:
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild0.jpg

unfortunately, i've cracked the body when i was polishing it and the left sideskirt was damaged when i tried to pull it off (was trying to put it on my orange S15). So it was then left in the box for a while but one day i've decided to do something rather than leaving it in the box forever. So i've stripped the paint again and repaint it in a different colour again (the 3rd time!!) and I choose to paint it yellow this time 8)

Stripping the paint:
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild2.jpg
modifed the front bumper a bit so it matches the sideskirts more
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild1.jpg

After Primer:
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild3.jpg

After a few coats of yellow
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild4.jpg

What it looks like now:
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild6.jpg
http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/images/models/rebuild7.jpg

The body is quite fragile now after the paint was stripped a few times so i'm trying not to polish it too much (rather have some oragne peel than have a cracked body again!!!) And if nothing goes wrong, i'll probably finish it by this weekend.

Hmm seeing that real S15 in your garage makes me hate Nissan for not continuing the "240sx" in the states. I want to move to Australia.:swear:

RyanGiorgio: Yeah they are the Andrew Racing Goltdish 18in wheels. They look quite nice and they do look like 18in wheels as well. I was thinking of getting some TE37s or similar but always no stock so i decided to try the Racing Gotldish and it turns out not too bad :) I imagine they will look awesome on VIP cars!

Corvette: Thanks.. but one thing.. New Zealand is NOT part of austrailia :sly: We are a separate country and we are the only country outsdie Japan that has the JDM S15s for sell:)

Zwaag: No i was not planning to do a replica of the 1:1 s15 :) but more like using it as an example to see what would look good and what would not on my real one Also i have no $$$$ to buy any bodykits/wheels for the real one (all the money goes to performance parts at the moment) so the model can help me feel a bit better

Unfortunately the body is really fragile as i said before and the panel lines are not as sharp even before i start painting it :(

Looks great now, even better then before. Good to read about you going for the performance parts first on your Silvia, only bodykit I think looks nice and simple on them is the Trial kit seen on NZs "Trial R"

Oops, didn't see that you were from NZ. Duh I know NZ isn't part of AUS, I was simply stating that Nissan blows hard ass cause they wont give the U.S.A anything. Oh and by the way have you seen the S16? It kind of looks like the states Infinity G35 Coupe. Anyway nice cars. :biggrin2:

Mopar Muscle Maniac: yeah "Trial R" was in our car club's stand in the "Drift and Drag Expo" eariler this year and he won the "Best Nissan" award. If you are interested, check out some other cars in our club here: http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/members/memberspage1.htm

Corvette: I've seen that "S16" pic. but that is just a computer generated pic (i.e fake). There is still no plan for S16 at the moment unfortunately :(

chaos: I can't remember the name of the colour as i don't have it with me at the moment.. but it's a DupliColour automotive spray can..name is "Holden ??????? yellow" I think.. not really the same yellow as the real one as it's a bit too green (you may not be able to see it from picture)

It's 90% finished now.. just need to glue the wipers, side mirrors on and it's all done! :)

ok just finished!!!..
i'm a bit rushed as i've spend such a long time on it so i just want it to be finished and no more drama! THe paint was not really smooth and has a bit orange peel but i don't want to risk polishing it more in case the body will crack again

here are the pics:
