OK here's a real quick question cos I'm airbrushing my car soon. i know about the LEA order but does it apply for clearcoat too? I'm planning to airbrush my car's body with Tamiya acrylic paint and clearcoat with Tamiya laquer clear but I was thinking that the laquer will not adhere to the acrylic. So what do you guys think?
Btw, does acrylic gives as smooth a glossy finish compared to lacquer and enamel?

The way to make it work is to "mist" the Tamiya clear on. Your first 3-5 coats should be mist coats, the idea is that they will be light enough so it won't melt too much of the acrylic, and when they are dry they will form a barrier between the acrylic paint and the medium and wet coats of clear.
Generally acrylic won't be as glossy as lacquer and enamel in my experience, but if you coat it with Tamiya lacquer clear you'll be getting the shine of the lacquer clear, not the acrylic.

Generally, acrylic doesn't dry as hard as lacquer paint, and the shine won't be as deep.
