Will have an engine! Looks like it's going to be a really decent kit. Make them all like this from the get go!!

Ha... I would never have expected in a million years that kit was going to have and engine and opening hood/bonnet.

And although I have about ZERO interest in this subject, I just might be tempted to buy one now.

Aoshima has now become my number one model company following some of their recent kits and announcements..... Keep it up AOSHIMA and I'll keep buying.:grinno:

:iagree:

Btw what engine does it have, i might also get one just for the engine. I still dont know why there isnt any subaru or mitsubishi from fujimi or aoshima with an engine.

I'm so getting this "farm-road Porsche" for its rear-engine rear-drive configuration.

Sambers are powered by 660cc, inline 4 (with or without supercharger), which is unique because most K-cars are inline-3. What's even more interesting is that the engine sits in the rear, and some hard-core enthusiasts own this commercial vehicle for personal use. When Subaru discontinued the production of Samber (now it's rebadged Daihatsu), they released a special WR Blue edition, and I hope Aoshima make a kit of it.

As far as Subaru engines are concerned, now you can get a detailed FA20 flat 4 from Aoshima in a variation of 86/BRZ kit.

The kit still lacks the lower block and exhaust header, so it's not as complete as the Enzo kits from Tamiya or Revell, but the visible parts of Aoshima 86/BRZ kit are noticeably more detailed than Tamiya's 86/BRZ counterpart.
