Okay, topic stats the fact for you all to call me crazy for what i am aobut to do, but eh, here it goes.


Okay, for the past month now I've been looking into getting my tongue periced, but lately I've become a chicken when reading about it, but still i do not want to chicken out. So, please, ppl, am I crazy?

Edit: Do you want it or not? Seems as simple as that. If you think you want one, then want to chicken out, maybe you really don't want one. But if you're just scared of the pain, that's just something you have to deal with... chicken! Bwuakah!

I have a few friends with it done. They say its really not that bad. So, if its because of the pain, suck it up. :p

Really though, if you get it and hate it, take it out. What do you have to lose, $100? Oh well. I have thought about doing it myself, but I will have to wait and see.

Here's the deal. I have wanted to get my tongue pierced for several months now... But (go ahead and laugh) I have an oral fixation, and when you take the stud out, there's a big lump of scar tissue around the piercing. That's the part that kinda grosses me out--and it's about the only reason I haven't gotten it done yet. The other thing is that the pain is completely different for everyone. Some parlors will put on an Anbesol type gel to numb the spot and others just go for the gold.

Do some research before you go... that's about the only thing I can tell you.

On the employer side of the house - I dont want any employee of mine talking to million dollar + clients with a tounge stud. It just isn't going to happen. I dont like them, it doesnt look professional. However, it is your body and if you want to be a follower and do the popular thing and punch extra holes in your body, you are free to do so.

Its strange, but people (guys especially) used to pierced to be a rebel. Now its turned around, its the ones who dont get the piercings that are the strange ones. I dont mean the million pierced body parts goofballs. I mean it seems everyone under the age of 20 has a piercing or two.
