BW 4406 Transfer Case - how to verify TOD

I just bought a used BW 4406 transfer case out of a 97 Navigator.
I will be using it in my 98 Expedition, which I know has Torque On Demand, and it has stickers on the case that say so.
I was told by the salvage yard people that the 97 Navigator and 98 Expedition cases are the same, but there is no sticker on the case saying that it is TOD. Everything looks identical on the outside.
How can I verify that my replacement is in fact a TOD 4406?
