1991 Saab 9000 CD 234 (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?toolid=10029&campid=CAMPAIGNID&customid=CUSTOMID&catId=11700&type=2&ext=190865376773&item=190865376773) NA 16 valve with 227146 miles lost Balance Drive Crankshaft Gear. Attempting to replace ALL damaged Timing and Balance Drives’ Guides with Cylinder Head (http://viglink.pgpartner.com/mrdr.php?url=http://viglink.pgpartner.com/search_attrib.php/form_keyword=cylinder+head&mt=~~~~~~~~n~~~) still attached. Well I know, “Can’t be done”, is the immediate answer, but what about, “removing the tensioner guide pivot stud” to remove the Timing Chain pivoting Chain Guide.

Are there any known techniques for removing pressed-in engine block studs?

Here are some pic of the pivoting stud, it is pressed-in.

Well if no go on, “removing the tensioner guide pivot stud”, my only resolve is to remove Cylinder Head. Will I have to replace head bolts with head stud, re-use, or new?

On the lower right inside of Timing cover there a "groove" around the oil pump main oil-ways. This groove if filled with same hard black material. Is this material hard, “cured rubber”, or something that should be cleaned out.
