rebuildengine or buy new car????

i'm planning of pulling the engine and tran to rebuild to race spec and i was thinking sould i do that or would it be better to buy a new car that won't cost a mint to get it to redline in 5th.

which one sould i do?

how much $$$ do you have to play around with is the question. and is that all you want to do is to redline in 5th??

well i want to hit top speed and be able to do a 1/4 run around 13seconds. i know top speed is some where around 150-160+- becuase i can top out 130 in 4th gear.

money won't be too much of a problem but it'll take about 2 or so years to try and afford the parts for my car. since it's so old most things will have to be custom made.
