A/C question

I have a 2000 Lesabre. Last year the a/c blew very cold on the passenger side and warm on the driver side. Don't know why it just did. This year it doesn't blow cold at all. Check the freon and it is fine. Seemed like the compressor was turning. Any other ideas? Thanks

Sounds like actuator problem X2 since you have right and left side controls. Its going to be under your dash somewhere. Do some searching online as to the exact location. you should be able to feel the center spin as you turn the controls from hot to cold. You could simply have a vacuum line unplugged from the actuator motor, or ac control unit. Good luck.

Check the freon and it is fine.
How do you know that? Did you take it out and weight it? That is the only true way of knowing....
If the compressor is running, just feel the low side line into the evap....is it cold? If it isn't either the compressor isn't compressing or the you are low on freon.....
As for the actuators, just take it out of dual mode, if a dual mode system...go to vent turn to full hot....should be getting 140-150F out of each side....now go full cold(because you are in vent mode compressor is off)....temp should drop to whatever the outside ambient air is , this time of year around 80F on both sides....if it does this, then the temp actuator(s) are ok......if they are ok, then it's either the compressor or low on freon....since the actuators are ok, and they were ok last year, when you had cooling on only one side....that was caused by a low freon condition.....now it's so low neither side works.....
