I have a 1994 3000gt sl. It was given to me due to the damage the motor has. All bearings are shot, the oil pump is shot, metal throughout the whole motor. I decided to just replace instead of rebuild. I found a motor from a 1998 3000gt sl for a very good price with very low miles. The issue: I know they changed the ecu and wiring up but is there anyway I can make this newer engine work in my car? The warranty and cost are so great I'm afraid to pass it up. Thanks for any and all help.

I replied to your PM.
To have an answer in public for future searches I will also post here.
Main things I can think of that will have to be swapped is the intake manifold, because the 98, I beleive has a MAP sensor on it as well as EGR. Now if your 94 is California emissions you will have an EGR and that should be most of what you have to change. If your 94 only has one o2 near the cat then you have Federal emissions and will have to swap the rear exhaust manifold. I am not 100% positive, but the front exhaust manifold is the same.
There might be other minor sensor differences, but that is where you will need to go over everything as you are doing it.
