Break light stays on unless I lift the break peddle up when Ieave the car. My cruze control stopped working and the traction control light comes on after driving for a few minutes. Thanks for your help in advance. I can't find any manuals for this truck.

The improperly adjusted brake pedal switch is probably the source of all these issues. I think if you adjust the switch or replace it that will take care of the light staying on, the cruise not working, and the traction control light.

Rod thanks for your help, I could not find manuals for this truck. How would I adjust the break pedal switch and do you have diagrams for proper replacement procedures.

I do have the factory manual for your Taurus X but I'm currently on vacation this week and do not have access to the manuals.
Generally the brake pedal switch is pretty easy to replace and, if you have a test light, easy to test. This is probably a fix you don't need to be too nervous about starting to tackle. If you get stumped, it will likely happen before you get to a point of no return.

Rod, I glued a penny on the break peddle where it
meets the break switch and it fixed the job. There is no traction light and the cruze control works. Thanks again Rod.
