Hi Guys

Here is the Le Mans prototyp I built last year.
The Dome S101 from the "Racing for Holland" LM 2001
The kit was producted by Sakatsu and it is a nice piece of Resine.
And can tell you the decals made a lot of work.

Hello Sascha
The Dome S101 is one of my all time favorites.
As one of the few independent manufactures in the LMP class of that era it put up a great fight against the factory Audi/bentley group.
Yep a lot of decals, but the result makes it all worth it
Very nice build.

Do you know the story of why RfH needed to resort to the checkered livery?

with kind regards

Nice project!! I love it
The decaling was a problem and it is well done, but in the other hand, you did not have issues with the color body process
Congratulations!!

Great work Sascha! Excellent clean build as always. How was the build overall? I have this one in my stash as well but will probably go for the more plain version.

Hi Sascha,

Excellent work on the Dome S101. That livery looks amazing, but must have been crazy to apply it. Keep up the good work my friend.

Also one of my favorites. Just loved the low long lines and that wonderful Judd engine.
The way I recall it, Jan Lammers had the idea to sell sponsorships using the checkered pattern. Something about easier to get lots of sponsors for a little money than a few for a lot of money.

Hi Guys

Wow, thank you so much for so many postings!

@Tamar The meaning of the livery was to get money for the le mans project.
Jan Lammers had the idea, smcorolla answered this for me.

@JesusM Yes that was a big avantage :grinyes:

@eyckles Hey buddy, you checked this modelcar live in Jabbeke on the show!

@lemansnut The kit is very good, the resinebody was very clean made.
The decal are clean printed and easy stick on the body.
What do you mean with a "plain version" ?

@da_ashman Very interesting! Speedhunters is a good page, too!

Here a few more pics.
